Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, self-driven Quality System Manager (QMS Manager) to develop, implement, and maintain our Fleet Managements ‘Quality Management System. This is a unique opportunity for a proactive professional who thrives on influencing organizational standards and processes. Purpose of the role

Ensure the Fleet management department's governance is assured by implementing an effective quality management system.

Main responsibilities and tasks

  • Develop a Quality Management strategy for fleet management (FM) and implement a formalized quality management system (QMS) that documents policies, processes, procedures, and responsibilities to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency of the fleet.
  • Ensure documentation supports seamless process and instruction between ship and shore organizations, internal and external stakeholders’ systems and ensures safety and alignment through a complex landscape.
  • Designated role within FM to Support the wider organization towards ISO certification for company.
  • Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on FM QMS
  • Train relevant stakeholders in all aspects of the FM QMS and application of procedures
  • Develop, implement, and manage a digital system for recording, monitoring, following up on corrective and preventative actions to ensure non-conformities and recommendations related to FM activities are addressed.
  • Develop digital analytics for the status of actions relating to non-conformities, recommendations, and the FM QMS.
  • Develop and coordinate an internal audit system for the FM QMS
  • Support in development of safety culture throughout the organization.
  • Stay connected to industry trends and regularly seek knowledge and inspiration to spark innovation and creativity in finding new and better ways of doing things.
  • Travel will be required in this role as we are a global business.

Knowledge and skills

  • University degree in fields of study associated with role.
  • ISO 9001 lead auditor certified.
  • Strong skills in collaboration and negotiation are important working in complex landscape.
  • Experience and skills in developing and implementing QMS.
  • Maritime background preferred but not necessary.
  • Proactive, self-starter, able to work self-sufficiently with manager and key-partners in other location.
  • Confident working in a complex, international company environment.
  • Ability to work within and develop digital platforms.
  • Strong digital mindset.
  • Confident and able to articulate well, including toward executives with excellent communication skills.
  • Decision-making based on data analysis and statistics.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Structured working manner, organized mindset/skills.
  • Strong and dedicated team orientation
